Distance Group: Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, Boston

Spring Group 2011 ^

The group is well underway and and we look forward to you all joining us in the summer for the start of the fall group.

Our Distance group is wildly successful, click here to read some of our amazing success stories. We have helped tons of people reach their half marathon and marathon goals and we want you to be next!


What we offer:

  • Start Date: Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 7:30a.m. 
  • Complete training schedule 
  • Coaches available by email anytime 
  • Saturday group runs starting at 7:30a.m. 
  • Detailed maps of all group training runs 
  • Water and Nuun provided on the course for every group run 
  • Long sleeved New Balance shirt to all participants and a short sleeve shirt to anyone attend 80% or more of group runs 


  • Assessment run - 6 weeks before your goal race - used to help the coaches assist you in proper training leading up to your goal race 
  • Optional Nutritional Counseling and Good Form Running Clinic Available
  • Fees: $65.00 if you register before 12/1/11, $75.00 after 12/1/11 
    Returning training group members: $50.00 before 12/1/11, $60.00 after 12/1/11

Program Breakdowns:

Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon (5/06/2012)

  • 18 week training program 
  • Veteran - anyone having completed 2 or more marathons & currently able to run 30 miles per week 
  • Rookie - anyone running their first or second marathon, or returning to marathon running and currently running less than 30 miles per week

Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Half Marathon (5/06/2011)

  • 18 week training program 
  • Veteran - for runners who have completed at least one half marathon and who are currently running 20 miles per week 
  • Rookie - anyone running their 1st half marathon or anyone currently running less than 20 miles per week

Boston Marathon (4/16/2012)

  • 16 week training program for pre-qualified runners only 
  • Training program begins 12/31/11; first group run is January 7, 2012


REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS

Please register for the race as soon as possible! The race fees go up the longer you wait. Registration for your target race is not included with the program registration fee. 

Our spring training program targets the Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon and Half Marathon, May 6th, 2011.Register early, so you don't get closed out of the race! Registration is available through:
