Training Programs at Fleet Feet Sports

 

 

Features of the NEW and IMPROVED 2010 Training Programs:

  • Training schedule to be developed for target races
  • Coaches will be visible and available at all weekly group runs
  • Scheduled long run group workout on the weekend (Sunday @ 8 AM, 7AM in hotter months)
  • Scheduled mid-week mid-mileage or strength/speed workout run on Thursday at Fleet Feet Sports open group run 
  • Group workout routes will be developed and available at the beginning of the program
  • Weekly group long run course descriptions will be available for reference at water stops on course
  • Water and Gatorade provided at regular intervals during long run workouts
  • Weekly email newsletter to all participants to include training tips such as strength training, stretching, nutrition, apparel/accessories, etc. Pictures from group workouts and any other important updates and information will also be included in the weekly newsletter
  • Educational seminars will be held at the store to include strength training, stretching, nutrition, and other training related topics
  • Registered participants will receive a coupon books to receive discounts at Fleet Feet Sports Buffalo throughout the training program
  • Support for all participants at all levels
  • Organized travel arrangements at the race destinations to include, reserved block of hotel rooms, restaurant reservations for a group meal the night prior to the race
  • We will work with participants who are planning other races. However distances for group long runs will be based on the target race dates.

We want to encourage as many participants as possible to join us for the target races. This will help build camaraderie during the training and help to insure that everyone in the group has people to run with.  Our Spring road trip to Cleveland was enjoyed by all !!
