Email received: "Shot Blocks"

Hello Alice!

I bought some Shot Blocks at Fleet Feet recently and sent them to my nephew who is in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army. I just wanted to take a minute to share with you an excerpt from the thank you e-mail he sent me:

“…The shot blocks are a life saver on long patrols in 115 degree heat, when food is miles away and every inch of your body is drenched in sweat. They also taste like candy!”

Not only are they great for runners, but our servicemen and women deployed in hot climates benefit from them, too. I will be stopping in soon to pick up some more for my nephew’s next care package. Thanks for being a great source for Shot Blocks and everything else!

Email received: "Fitting my daughter's shoes..."

Dan,

I just wanted to thank you so much for the fitting you gave my daughter yesterday. My daughter was born very prematurely and has cerebral palsy. Your handling of her needs was the first time that anyone had appropriately fitted her and also treated her as an intelligent decision maker in her own right. She is ecstatic to have better fitting shoes and have them be "normal" shoes. I love the policy that you have to allow your special needs customers to buy different sizes of shoes at less than twice the price. Your attention and help will impact her the rest of her life.

Email received in response to ad for employment opportunities
I am not seeking employment, but I do want to give props to one of your current employees, Eric. I am 43 and I finally purchased good pair of running shoes yesterday and was fitted by Eric. Eric spent a full hour Fitting me and helping me select the Nikes. The confidence that I now have in these shoes will surely aid in my training and hopefully result in a respectful finish in my first 26.2 - this years Buffalo Marathon.

My husband and I really enjoyed the friendly professional service we received. Being a new runner I felt extremely intimated going to a Fleet Feet store, however when I got there it felt like home. NYC Marathon seriously was the GREATEST experience of my life. I can't even describe in words how I felt when I crossed that finish line. I already registered for NYC for next year! I hope I get in, if I don't you will be sure I am running another one next year! My goal is 4:15 and the way I feel right now I know I will do it! I can't thank you guys enough for making my dream of running the NYC Marathon come true. You guys are the best!
