Alice Loncto - Owner of Fleet Feet BuffaloAlice Loncto - Owner of Fleet Feet Buffalo

I am a runner for life taking up the sport in 1977 – competing in road races from 5K to the marathon over the years. I truly love the sport & the Buffalo running community ! I run 6 days per week & my training is now focused on running a Boston Marathon qualifying time. I graduated from Buffalo State College with a degree in education. Meeting Dan at Buffalo State started our relationship – as a couple & as dedicated runners. I recently retired from a full time job as an Underwriting Manager for OneBeacon Insurance.  You will now find me at Fleet Feet full time as the Marketing coordinator for our medical provider programs, our training programs and our youth programs. I also assist with the marathon training group & our weekly group runs. The Buffalo parks have been a big part of my running world & I am a member of the Olmsted Parks Conservancy Advisory Board. Dan & I also race direct the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge.

I have been running competitively for over 40 years. I began at Kenmore East High School as an 800 meter runner. I attended Buffalo State College, graduating with a degree in Business Studies. I was lucky enough to meet Alice while we were both attending Buffalo State. I took up road racing in 1980 and completed my first marathon in 1982. Since then, I have completed over 25 marathons, including Boston (7 times), New York, London and Chicago. My marathon career was highlighted by a 3rd place finish in my age group and a marathon PR in 1997. I ran 2:45:29 at age 47. Since we opened Fleet Feet Sports in April of 2002, I spend most of my time working on growing our business and coaching our highly successful training groups. I also continue to race direct the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge, Buffalo’s largest road race.

My accomplishments include finishing many
marathons, most recently finishing the inaugural Goofy Challenge. This
competition takes place at the Disney World Marathon in January and includes running the half
marathon one day and the full marathon the next. I also enjoy duathlons and triathlons and have completed two Ironmans.

Joe HalterJoe Halter

I began running while attending Maryvale High School. I competed in both cross country and track. I continued my running career at Buffalo State College while earning a degree
in Health and Wellness along with a minor in coaching. I continue to run, mostly for fun, my
competitive focus has switched to cycling. I also coach indoor and outdoor track and field at Maryvale High School.

Carrie GeiseCarrie Geise

Along with working at Fleet Feet Sports, I am a first grade teacher in the Iroquois Central School District. I have been running since junior high, however have become much
more passionate about the sport since completing college. It was then that I became interested in marathons and also began running more local road races. Just recently I qualified for and ran my first Boston.

Tim Fulton

My passions for running and land conservation formed while growing up in the Texas Hill Country. I was blessed with a father who spent his time taking my brother and me on long hikes as we fished and hunted along limestone mesas and clear flowing streams. While I have participated in hundreds of road races, my preference is to take long runs in the solitude of nature. Trail running and long hikes with my wife and children restore my spirit and give me hope for the future. I complement my work at Fleet Feet Sports by serving as a board member of the Buffalo-Niagara RiverKeeper and as trustee member of the National Association for Olmsted Parks.

Melinda BewleyMelinda Bewley

I run for the love of the sport and to keep in shape. I have completed two Walt Disney Marathons, the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco, and most recently, the Rochester Marathon. Other running accomplishments include completing the Buffalo, Rochester, and Cleveland Half Marathons.

I am a certified personal trainer and am working on a degree in Dietetics. My goal is to be involved in community education and to assist clients with weight management and developing healthy lifestyles.

  Justin Craddock

I started running in 7th grade and continued throughout high school. My specialty is 800 meters but I run everything from the 200 up. I took a year off from school and running, but now am currently attending Buffalo State as a full time student, and slowly getting back in shape in hopes that I can compete for Buffalo State in the fall. Other than running I perform magic and enjoy writing in my spare time.
