Join us after the Monday Fun Day Workout as the experts from Sports PT give advice on preventing Runner's Knee Pain. Not only will they help you understand the pathology and contributing factors of Runner's Knee, but they will demonstrate evidence-based exercises that are shown to relieve Runner's Knee.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

Dr. Lisa V. Martin PT, DPT Dr. Martin is a 2004 graduate from Daemen College with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. She has been working in outpatient orthopedics for over 10 yrs. Lisa has taken several continuing education courses on spinal and extremity rehabilitation with a focus on manual therapy and taping. She also has advanced training on proper running mechanics, gait analysis and injury prevention in runners.



 Dr. Alexa Amato, PT DPT  Dr. Amato is a 2015 graduate of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Daemen College.  Alexa is certified in Sportsmetrics, a plyometric jump training program to decrease the risk of non-contact ACL injuries in athletes.  Alexa has a special interest in lower extremity biomechanics and in particular, how the hip affects the knee and foot/ankle in runners.  She is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys running, playing soccer, and weight training.  Alexa is currently training for the Buffalo Half Marathon.
